Role purpose

Promote and reference Bayer products in Cameroon and Central Africa sub region (if needed) in order to develop our market share in these countries

Key responsibilities and tasks


  • Optimize the client portfolio by monitoring the implementation of new BCS products and concepts
  • Establish a good customer relationship with the objective of achieving the sales targets
  • Meet customer expectation by providing solutions adapted to the evolution of the market.
  • Ensure regular technical and marketing follow-up with distributors
  • Be the Country Bayer representative in the context of tenders submitted by distributors working closely with Tender Business Sales Head
  • In collaboration with the respective Field Agronomist in Field Solutions, coordinate the implementation of registration and other proof-of-concept trials, to ensure that they are conducted to a high standard in order to provide useable data for the process of registration of new and existing active substances/products and determine the validity of proof-of-concept projects
  • Actively provide knowledge and observations from field trials on project developments to the respective Field Agronomist in Field Solutions for update into SCOUT
  • With guidance from Market development agronomist/representative support the execution and localization of the Market Development testing program and trials under farmer conditions to validate the technologies and solutions
  • Value proposition development of customized agronomic solutions for Corn and CP to support sales and business growth targets
Major Challenges
  • Collect the market data related to the different crop segments
  • Set up demo trials in order to reference our products at distributor level
  • Mainstream the different BCS tools and procedures into the day-to-day business by complying with the LIFE values
  • Ensure operational and administrative liaison between BCS and its various local partners (State, national organizations,...)
  • Develop a team spirit in a sub-regional multicultural environment
  • Attends Sales Commercial Committees
Work relations

Externally : BCS partners’ distribution network, large accounts and prescribers, consultants

Internally : Interactions with marketing, Regulatory, Field Solutions, Territory Sales Heads Private Market and Tender Business

Experience, Skills and Qualifications
  • Good knowledge Bayer portfolio
  • Coordination capacity, ability to work on his own
  • Abilities to work in a multicultural environment
  • Ready to travel in within the country, and possibly in the sub-region
  • High level of integrity
  • Mastery of French, and practice of English to be expected
