Cattolica Africa 2024/2026 scholarship program

Italy's Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC) is offering master's scholarships to African students to study in selected programs for the 2024/2026 academic year through the Cattolica Africa scholarship.

Fields of study

The Cattolica Africa scholarship program comprises twelve two-year Master's degree programs (Laurea Magistrale), all taught in English. These programs prepare students for an academic and/or professional career. Graduates of Master's programs are also eligible to enter doctoral programs at Italian universities.

About the Cattolica Africa scholarship program:

The Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, as part of its mission to foster relations with developing countries, has developed a special program for students from the African continent. This program will enable students to study for undergraduate and postgraduate programs taught in English at UCSC campuses in Milan, Piacenza and Cremona.

Thanks to the Cattolica Africa scholarship, all successful applicants will be offered tuition discounts (see table below). However, students will still be responsible for their own living expenses. The Cattolica Africa program is therefore NOT a full scholarship program.

Eligibility

Students, citizens or residents, from any African country can apply for the Cattolica Africa scholarship, which applies only to study programs taught in English.

Admission requirements for all Master's programs include: Completion of at least a bachelor's degree from a recognized university (upper division 2nd class / diploma 2.1 or higher)

English language test score: IELTS 6.0 (academic) or TOEFL IBT 80 if English is not your mother tongue, or successful completion of a study program taught in English.

An application fee of 75€ is payable for submitting the application.

Value of Cattolica Africa scholarship program: €5,540 tuition waiver per year.

Scholarship duration: The Cattolica Africa Scholarship Program will be offered for 2 years.

How to apply for the Cattolica Africa scholarship program?

A €75 application fee is required to submit the application. Read the application guide carefully, and make sure you follow the instructions provided to submit your application correctly.

Select the study program of your choice. You can select up to two programs. Your application will only be considered for your first choice. If your application is unsuccessful, we will automatically consider you for your second choice.

Create your account, fill in the online form and upload the required documents (listed in the guidelines). Pay the application fee (€75, non-refundable) and submit your application. We will start processing your application once we have received payment of the application fee: please check that the status of the application in your Self-Service Center is "Application and paid".
