Competitive entrance examination at the American Naval Academy MINDEF

PRESS RELEASE: THE MINISTER DELEGATE AT THE PRESIDENCY INCHARGE OF DEFENSE

It is brought to the attention of young Cameroonians of both sexes, wishing to pursue a career in the Defense Forces, that a pre-selection test for admission to the American Naval Academy will be organized in Yaoundé, a single examination center.

A - CONDITIONS TO BE FULFILLED

• Must be of Cameroonian nationality;
• Being single without dependent children
• Enjoy his civil rights;
• To be free from any infectious disease;
• To be recognized fit by a military doctor;
• To master perfectly the English language;
• Be at least 17 years old and at most 23 years old on 07/01/2020 Hold a scientific baccalaureate or a GCE / AL with at least two scientific subjects (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry).

B - COMPOSITION OF THE APPLICATION FILE

• 01 A4 envelope stamped at 1000 CFA francs, bearing the following handwritten information: surname and first names, date, and place of birth, diploma, telephone number, and Mail.
• 01 handwritten request stamped at 1,000 CFA francs addressed by the Minister Delegate to the Presidency in charge of Defense;
• 01 certified photocopy of the birth certificate;
• 01 certificate of nationality;
• 01 medical certificate;
• 01 certified photocopy of the baccalaureate or GCE / AL;
• 01 attestation of presentation of the original diploma requires;
• 01 extract of the criminal record bulletin N ° 3, dating less than 03 months:
• 01 blank cardboard folder.

The candidates will pay a sum of 20000 (twenty thousand) CFA francs representing the costs of the competition against receipt, to the Directorate of Human Resources of the Ministry of Defense.

C - WRITTEN TESTS OF PRESELECTION

• They will take place in English language on 23 October 2019 at the Centre des Spécialistes des Armées (CISA) in Yaounde from 07 o'clock. Candidates will be evaluated exclusively in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
• The selection will take place at the Embassy of the United States of America in Yaoundé on December 1, 2019 and will only concern shortlisted candidates.
• Full application files are expected from the Human Resources Department no later than Monday 21 October 2019 at 15.30.
